A teriyaki stir fry vegetables recipe is a handy, easy, filling and tasty meal. It’s a great, and healthy dinner, easy and packed with fresh veggies and covered in sweet savory teriyaki sauce.

My Stir-Fry Experience

When I first made vegetable teriyaki stirfry, I was shocked with how easy it was to get restaurant quality flavors made at home. Veritably bright colours and clean textures made the dish as visually appealing as it was tasty. Now it is a staple of my dinner rotation for the weeknight.

Ingredients

For the Stir-Fry:

Vegetable oil: 2 tbsp

Broccoli florets: 2 cups

Carrots: 1 cup, thinly sliced

Bell peppers: 1 cup, sliced (any color)

Snow peas: 1 cup

Mushrooms: 1 cup, sliced

Onion: 1 small, sliced

Garlic: 3 cloves, minced

Ginger: 1 tsp, freshly grated

For the Teriyaki Sauce:

Soy sauce: ¼ cup

Brown sugar or honey: 2 tbsp

Rice vinegar: 1 tbsp

Sesame oil: 1 tsp

Cornstarch: The slurry is used — that is, 1 tsp mixed into 2 tbsp water (thickening).

Optional:

Sesame seeds: For garnish

Green onions: Sliced, for garnish

Cooked rice or noodles: For serving

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preparing the Topping Sauce

In a small bowl combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar and sesame oil.

Later on this will be thickened with a corn starch slurry.

Step 2: Western Kitchen-Style Cooking

In a deep skillet stage set.

Secondly, pour vegetable oil, so that it doesn’t burn.

I then add broccoli and carrots, and stir for 3–4 minutes, allowing all of this to become slightly tender, before adding a stir fry.

Also, another 3–4 minutes in the pan, bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, and snow peas go into it.

To that stir fry, add the garlic and ginger; cook, stirring, for 1 minute to allow the garlic and ginger to get fragrant.

Step 3: Pouring the Sauce

Then stir the teriyaki sauce into the skillet and pour all over the vegetables.

Add some more of the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes on medium while stirring continuously.

Step 4: In a Serving Plate

Spoon over the vegetables, some sesame seeds and sliced green onions serve: remove from the fire.

Cook the stuffed rice or the stuffed noodles in the microwave.

Tips for Perfect Stir-Fry

Prep in Advance: Get the ingredients measured and all your vegetables chopped before you start cooking, because stirfrying goes fast.

High Heat: Keep vegetables on medium high to high heat until crisp tender.

Customize the Veggies: What you have on hand: zucchini, baby corn or bok choy all work well here.

Add Protein: For a heartier meal toss tofu, chicken, shrimp or beef in.
