My Experience: A Cookout Classic
Family barbecues were always about hot dogs, but the toppings perked things up in a real way: chili. Chili was such a hit that I remember that first time when I made it for some sort of summer gathering, people were basically trying to sneak spoonfuls straight from the pot! A crowd pleasing dish is created with a run-of-the-mill hot dog when powered by this hearty, flavorful chili.

Chili that has been spooned over hot dogs, topped with shredded cheese and whatever you like hand diced onions or jalapeño, it serves immediately.
The Best Hot Dog Chili.
Keep It Thick: The chili in hot dog chili should be thick enough to not run off of the bun. Avoid making it too soupy.
Make It Ahead: That chili is even better after it has had a day to rest, if possible.
Customize the Heat: Adjust cayenne and chili powder to your spice tolerance.
Use Fresh Ingredients: A firm authentic flavour … fresh garlic and onions.
Variations to Try
Vegetarian Hot Dog Chili:
Try using plant based crumbles, or finely chopped mushrooms instead of ground beef.
Tex-Mex Chili:
For a southwestern twist, add black beans, corn and a splash of lime juice.
Sweet and Spicy:
